Online gaming issues with DG834Gv4 + O2 ADSL2+

First off Hello to all of you guys, first post and all....

Ok here's a weird one for you:

When I play online (Mario Kart) using the DG834G I have a very flaky connection and always end up getting disconnected yet when I use the TG585v7 my Wii online connection is transformed and I never get disconnected.

It doesn't matter if my Wii is connected via WiFi or CAT5, I always have the connection issues with the DG834. It's running the latest firmware (5.01.14) too but was considering downgrading it?

I thought it might be MTU related so tried all sorts of figures on the DG834 and Wii but it didn't help.

What I would like to know is how to find out what the MTU is set to on the TG585v7. I've connected to the menu (telnet) and spent a while browsing through the categories but can't see anything MTU related?
